Regular Season Round 11: Brissac Anjou - Lourdes 89-78

There was a minor upset in Brissac-Quince where higher ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (4-7) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Brissac-Aubance (4-7) 89-78. Brissac-Aubance players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American guard Greg Pryor (188-95, college: Chattanooga, agency: Court Side) answered with 29 points and 4 assists and the former international center Ludovic Vaty (206-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) added 20 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Lourdes-Tarbes. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brissac-Aubance moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Lourdes-Tarbes. Brissac-Aubance's next round opponent will be higher ranked UB Chartres (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
