Regular Season Round 15: Tochigi Brex - San-en 74-60

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Tochigi Brex (8-11) defeated at home 5th ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (8-11) 74-60 on Saturday. Tochigi Brex dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to San-en NeoPhoenix's 32. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 5 assists. Swingman Shuhei Kitagawa (185-85) helped adding 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tochigi Brex have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated San-en NeoPhoenix. Tochigi Brex will face Yokohama BC (#6) on the road in the next round. San-en NeoPhoenix will play against the league's second-placed Toyama Grouses (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
