Regular Season Round 3: Al Sadd - Al Khor 84-79

No shocking result in a game when Al Sadd (2-1) beat Al Khor (0-3) in Doha 84-79 on Saturday. Al Sadd looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Dee Oldham (193-94, college: Chattanooga) who led the winners and scored 30 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American-Albanian forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. American center Khobi Williamson (201-92, college: Hampden-Sydney) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import forward DJ Blackmon (201-90, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Al Khor in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Gharafa.
