Regular Season Round 9: PGE Turow - MKS DG 84-95

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (7-2) beat 9th ranked PGE Turow (5-5) in Zgorzelec 95-84 on Saturday. PGE Turow was trailing by 14 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 34-22 charge of MKS Dabrowa Gornicza, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American forward DJ Shelton (208-91, college: Washington St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Serbian point guard Jovan Novak (188-94, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Bartosz Bochno (193-88) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for PGE Turow. Four MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and five PGE Turow players scored in double figures. PGE Turow's coach Michael Claxton rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. They moved-up to second place. Loser PGE Turow keeps the ninth position with five games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face league's leader Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PGE Turow will play at home against AZS Koszalin (#14) and hope to win that game.
