Regular Season Round 13: Aishin AW - Denso Iris 54-72

Very expected game when 9th ranked Aishin Wings (3-10) lost to third ranked Denso Iris (10-3) in Anjo 54-72. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Aishin Wings was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Himawari Akaho (181-98) fired 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. Kiho Miyashita (178-98) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Kyoko Hamaguchi (181-90) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Denso Iris. They maintain third place with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader JX-Eneos S., which they share with Chanson V-M. Aishin Wings lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Denso Iris will have a break next round. Aishin Wings will play again on the road against Denso Iris (#3) in Kariya and hope to win that game.
