Regular Season Round 10: Segle XXI - Joventut LC 69-63

Segle XXI's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after ten consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Joventut LC (5-5) 69-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Joventut LC won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Joventut LC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Carolina Mateo fired 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Hermosa Nerea (194-1) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Segle XXI players scored in double figures. Segle XXI's coach Ivan Torinos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nerea Garmendia produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and Eliana Soriano added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Segle XXI (1-10) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place in Group A. Joventut LC at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Segle XXI's next round opponent will be Oviedo (#14) at home.
