Regular Season Round 11: Cassino - Capo d'Orlando 110-83

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Capo d'Orlando (5-6) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Cassino (7-4) 110-83 on Saturday. Cassino shot 61.4 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Cassino looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Capo d'Orlando's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Biagio Sergio (197-86) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Lorenzo Panzini (186-90, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Cassino's coach Luca Vettese felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jacopo Pozzi (201-87) produced 25 points and naturalized Serbian David Paunovic (198-95) added 16 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Five Cassino and four Capo d'Orlando players scored in double figures. Cassino maintains sixth place in B with 7-4 record. Newly promoted Capo d'Orlando dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Cassino will face Roma S.Azzurra (#7) on the road in the next round. Capo d'Orlando will play against the league's leader Basket Barcellona and hope to win that game.
