Regular Season Round 10: Alpo VF - Marghera 58-56

Eighth-ranked Marghera (4-6) made lots of trouble for third ranked Alpo VF (8-2) in Verona. Alpo VF managed to secure only two-point victory 58-56. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Arianna Zampieri (183-88) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Maria Zanella (174-92) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Guard Sara Toffolo (184-0) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Irene Pieropan (175-91) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Marghera. Four Marghera players scored in double figures. Marghera's coach Paolo Seletti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alpo VF maintains third position in A2 with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Sesto SG. Marghera at the other side dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. Alpo VF will play against Pordenone (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Marghera will play against Udine Delser (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
