Regular Season Round 8: Zabok - Skrljevo 65-66

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Premijer Liga took place in Zabok. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked KK Zabok (5-3) to fifth ranked KK Skrljevo (4-4) 66-65 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KK Zabok. KK Skrljevo made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Josip Barnjak (190-98) who scored 16 points. The former international guard Sinisa Stemberger (196-79) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Center Antonio Vlaic (205-91) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Borna Kapusta (182-96, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 11 points and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Despite that victory KK Skrljevo went down to seventh position due to points difference. KK Zabok at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. KK Skrljevo is looking forward to face Kastela (#12) in Kastela Sucurac in the next round where they are favorite. KK Zabok will play on the road against Jazine (#13) in Zadar and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
