Everything could happen in Thessaloniki at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked PAOK and 8th ranked Kolossos HH had identical 3-3 record. This time PAOK used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Rodou 70-56 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-56. PAOK outrebounded Kolossos HH 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (202-88, college: Georgia St.) who led the winners and scored 8 points and 16 rebounds. International power forward Vangelis Margaritis (203-82) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) came up with 20 points and the other American import center Marvin Jones (213-93, college: Texas Southern) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Kolossos HH in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for PAOK. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with AEK. Kolossos HH lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. PAOK will meet Koroivos (#7) on the road in the next round. Kolossos HH will play against G.Larissa-Faros and hope to secure a win.
