Regular Season Round 9: Tokyo Big Blue - Aisin AW 61-93

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Aisin AW (3-3) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-6) 93-61 on Saturday. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 38. Aisin AW forced 21 Tokyo Big Blue turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Tokyo Big Blue's players. The best player for the winners was guard Ikishima Ikejima (188-94) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Fujita Shunsuke (187-93) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kengo Funabashi (189-93) added 18 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aisin AW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tokyo Excel. Tokyo Big Blue lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Aisin AW will face Tokyo Excel.
