Regular Season Round 11: ASVEL - Le Mans 79-71

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Le Mans (8-3) on the court of fourth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket 79-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Le Mans. Le Mans was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 23-11 charge of ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket, which allowed them to win the game. American Mykal Riley (196-85, college: Alabama) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Justin Cobbs (190-91, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 19 points and 5 assists. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (7-4) moved-up to third place, which they share with Limoges. Le Mans at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Monaco. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket is looking forward to face Gravelines-Dunkerque (#6) on the road in the next round. Le Mans will play against JSF Nanterre (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
