Regular Season Round 10: Valencia - Adareva 85-52

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Valencia (6-3) outplayed at home 12th ranked Adareva (2-8) 85-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Valencia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Adareva to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Valencia forced 22 Adareva turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Adareva's players. It was a very good performance for swingman Irene Gari (185-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (186-86, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Valencia players scored in double figures. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward TyDesheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Dragana Balde added 6 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Adareva. Valencia moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Real Canoe. Loser Adareva keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Valencia will face Distrito Olimpico (#10) in Madrid in the next round where they are favorite. Adareva will play at home against the league's second-placed Leganes and hope to win that game.
