Regular Season Round 9: Hainaut - Roche 66-58

Rather expected game in Saint-Amand where 12th ranked Roche (1-8) was defeated by ninth ranked Hainaut (4-5) 66-58 on Saturday. American forward Ashley Bruner (183-91, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Senegalese point guard Bintou Dieme-Marizy (164-84) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese center Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-82) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Kristen Mann (185-83, college: UCSB, agency: ProDep Management) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Hainaut moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Lyon and Tarbes. Newly promoted Roche stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Hainaut will face Nice (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Roche will play against the league's leader Bourges and hope to win that game.
