LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Mann Filter (6-4) in Zaragoza 64-39. The game without a history. Perfumerias Avenida led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mann Filter to just 7 points in third quarter. Perfumerias Avenida held Mann Filter to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.2 percent accuracy of the winners and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Perfumerias Avenida outrebounded Mann Filter 42-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Nigerian-American forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: ProDep Management) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin-American forward Angelica Robinson (197-87, college: Georgia, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Mann Filter at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Araski and Gipuzkoa UPV. Perfumerias Avenida are looking forward to face Gipuzkoa UPV (#6) in San Sebastian in the next round where they are favorite. Mann Filter will play at home against Socinsa Bembibre and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
