The game between third ranked Stjarnan (6-5) and fourth ranked Keflavik (7-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Stjarnan was crushed by Keflavik in Keflavik 97-76. Keflavik had a 32-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Stjarnan's players. Keflavik's coach Sverrir Sverrisson felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Danielle Rodriguez (178-93, college: Utah) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and power forward Sylvia Halfdanardottir (182-98) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Keflavik have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Stjarnan at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Keflavik are looking forward to face Skallagrimur (#4) in Borganes in the next round. Stjarnan will play at home against Snaefell and is hoping to win this game.
