Regular Season Round 9: Nantes - Tarbes 59-72

The most interesting game of round 9 in the LFB was a home defeat of 8th ranked Nantes Reze (3-6) to seventh ranked Tarbes (4-5) 72-59. Tarbes dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Nantes Reze's 24. The former international guard Adja Konteh (178-92) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) chipped in 10 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Tarbes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Ambrosia Anderson (186-84, college: BYU, agency: Two Points) with 16 points and forward Maud Medenou (189-90) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Tarbes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hainaut and Lyon. Nantes Reze lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Mondeville. Tarbes is looking forward to face higher ranked Flammes (#4) in Charleville in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nantes Reze will play on the road against Mondeville (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
