Regular Season Round 10: Helsingborg - Eskilstuna 95-68

Date: December 2, 2017
Basketettan top team - Helsingborg (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Eskilstuna (5-3) 95-68. Helsingborg dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Eskilstuna's 36. Helsingborg forced 20 Eskilstuna turnovers and outrebounded them 44-23 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Anton Persson (180-97) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and guard Ramon Mirianidis (183-95) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Eskilstuna. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Helsingborg have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Eskilstuna at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. Helsingborg will have a break next round. Eskilstuna will play at home against RIG Mark (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
