A1 top team - Panathinaikos (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Aiolos Trikallon (2-5) in Athens 87-56. The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Panathinaikos shot 21 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Aiolos Trikallon only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Aiolos Trikallon 49-29 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Panathinaikos players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. At the losing side Serbian power forward Marko Tejic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 14 points and the former international swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Aiolos Trikallon lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Cretan Kings. Panathinaikos will play against Aris (#9) in Thessaloniki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aiolos Trikallon will play at home against Kymis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
