There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Soba (6-7) beat 7th ranked Melsele (6-6) in Antwerpen 89-79. They outrebounded Melsele 31-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. Soba players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Melsele's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Robin Haerbos (180-94) who scored 21 points and 4 assists. Point guard Anthony Goetgeluck (182-92) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. M Hockins produced 23 points and point guard Ivan Perez (185-90) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Melsele's coach Aleksander Peldic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Soba moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gistel Oostende. Melsele at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Soba's next round opponent will be Ninane (#10) on the road.
