Regular Season Round 10: Unicaja - Joventut 86-74

Very expected game when 14th ranked Joventut (3-6) lost on the road to tenth ranked Unicaja Malaga (5-5) 86-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Unicaja Malaga. Joventut was better in second period 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Unicaja Malaga looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Carlos Suarez (203-86, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 6 rebounds. Unicaja Malaga moved-up to eighth place, which they share with UCAM Murcia and Iberostar Tener. Loser Joventut keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost. Unicaja Malaga will face Zaragoza (#11) on the road in the next round. Joventut will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in Madrid and hope to win that game.
