Very expected game when 12th ranked Perugia (3-8) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Recanati (7-4) 78-65 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was forward Attilio Pierini (201-81) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Giorgio Broglia (198-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Recanati players scored in double figures. Joseph Mobio (199-97) produced 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Lorenzo Petrosino (202-92, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Recanati moved-up to second place in B. Loser Perugia dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Recanati will face Nardo (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Perugia will play against Fabriano and hope to win that game.
