Regular Season Round 9: BM Slam Stal - Polski Cukier 76-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Twarde Pierniki (7-3) against tenth ranked BM Slam Stal (4-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Twarde Pierniki was defeated by BM Slam Stal in a tough game in Ostrow Wlkp. 70-76. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Twarde Pierniki. It looked good early as Twarde Pierniki took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BM Slam Stal took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 6 points. American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 14 points and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard DJ Richardson (190-91, college: Illinois, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. BM Slam Stal's coach Emil Rajkovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was international swingman Karol Gruszecki (193-89, college: Texas Arlington) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: 3Eye) scored 16 points and 4 assists. BM Slam Stal maintains tenth place with 4-3 record. Twarde Pierniki at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Stelmet. BM Slam Stal will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Twarde Pierniki will play on the road against GTK in Gliwice and hopes to get back on the winning track.
