Regular Season Round 11: Olginate - Crema 66-74

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Olginate (5-6) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Crema (8-3) 74-66 on Sunday. Olginate was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Francesco Paolin (190-95) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Massimiliano Ferraro (198-98) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Four Crema players scored in double figures. Power forward Andrea Bassani (198-89) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and forward Marco Planezio (198-91, agency: Players Group) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. The victory was the third consecutive win for Crema. They moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Lecco. Olginate lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Crema will face Reggio Emilia (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Olginate will play against Rimini (#13) and hope to win that game.
