Regular Season Round 10: Olimpico 64 - Adelantados 47-61

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Olimpico 64 (3-7) lost to fourth ranked Adelantados (7-3) in Madrid 47-61 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a very good performance for center Lucia Mendez (182-88) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Guard Elisabet Vivas (178-92, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 12 points for the winners. The former international power forward Irene Herradas (186-78) replied with 26 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Julia Rabadan (180-86) added 2 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Olimpico 64. Adelantados have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Leganes. Loser Olimpico 64 dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Adelantados will face Magec Tias (#8) in Las Palmas in the next round where they are favorite. Olimpico 64 will play on the road against Alcobendas and hope to win that game.
