There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Mens Sana 1871 (3-6) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Remer Treviglio (4-6) 86-78 on Sunday. Remer Treviglio outrebounded Mens Sana 1871 38-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. Austrian-American forward Bryce Douvier (201-91, college: Texas A&M-CC) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Four Remer Treviglio players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Elston Turner (195-90, college: Texas A&M) responded with 22 points and Montenegrin center Marko Simonovic (210-99) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Remer Treviglio moved-up to twelfth place in A2. Loser Mens Sana 1871 dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Remer Treviglio will face Virtus Roma (#16) on the road in the next round. Mens Sana 1871 will play against Viola RC in Reggio Calabria and hope to win that game.
