Roseto Sharks has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Aurira Jesi (6-4) 88-77 on Sunday. Roseto Sharks made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game, while Aurira Jesi only scored eight points from the stripe. Aurira Jesi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American point guard Matt Carlino (189-92, college: Marquette, agency: Players Group) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest.
