Regular Season Round 10: Eurobasket Roma - Legnano 82-81

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Eurobasket Roma (4-6) edged at home higher ranked Legnano (6-4) 82-81 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Eurobasket Roma especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and power forward Rei Pullazi (203-93) scored 17 points. Four Legnano players scored in double figures. Eurobasket Roma moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Legnano keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Eurobasket Roma will face higher ranked Cagliari Academy (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Legnano will play against Givova Scafati (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
