Regular Season Round 7: Sagesse - CS Antonine 99-85

There was no surprise in Beirut where 8th ranked CS Antonins (1-6) were defeated by fourth ranked Sagesse (5-2) 99-85 on Sunday. Sagesse made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. International center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sagesse's coach Fuad Abou Chakra used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American Rashad McCants (193-84, college: N.Carolina, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 26 points and 6 assists and American-Jordanian guard Rasheim Wright (192-81, college: District of Col.) scored 20 points and 6 assists. Five Sagesse and four CS Antonins players scored in double figures. Sagesse have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-2 record. CS Antonins lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Byblos. Sagesse will meet bottom-ranked Tadamon (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CS Antonins will play against Louaize and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
