Regular Season Round 13: Centrum - Ammerud Bskt 79-82

Tenth-ranked Centrum (1-12) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Ammerud Bskt (6-9) in Oslo. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected easier game. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-19 Centrum's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 82-79 at the end of the game. Ammerud Bskt dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Centrum's 42. British center Morakinyo Williams (210-88, college: Citadel, agency: Interperformances) nailed 40 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Latvian forward Karlis Helmanis (200-97) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Johan Flaa (183-99) added 19 points respectively for Centrum in the defeat. Centrum's coach Inge-Aleksander Kristiansen tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Ammerud Bskt moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Baerum Basket and Tromso. Centrum lost their third game in a row. Defending champion stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Ammerud Bskt will have a break next round. Centrum will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kongsberg (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
