The game in Reykjavik was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Vestri (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Gnupverjar (2-8). Vestri defeated Gnupverjar 96-85. Vestri players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Gnupverjar was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Montenegrin forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) supported him with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Vestri players scored in double figures. Even 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals by American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Gnupverjar. Forward Hraunar Gudmundsson (194-91) added 14 points and 4 assists. Gnupverjar's coach Mate Dalmay rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vestri maintains fourth position with 7-3 record, which they share with Hamar. Gnupverjar lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Vestri will play against FSU (#8) in Selfoss in the next round. Gnupverjar will play on the road against IA in Akranes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
