Regular Season Round 11: Scauri - Roma S.Azzurra 54-65

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Scauri (5-6) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Roma S.Azzurra (5-5) 65-54 on Sunday. Scauri was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Cameroonian forward Philippe Bayehe (204-99) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian Juan-Manuel Caceres (200-84, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Davide Serino (199-81) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Vincenzo Provenzani (188-99) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Roma S.Azzurra moved-up to seventh place in B. Loser Scauri dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Roma S.Azzurra will face higher ranked Cassino (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Scauri will play against Roma Luiss and hope to win that game.
