Regular Season Round 11: JAS FBG - Sleza Wroclaw 76-81

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Sleza Wroclaw (8-1) beat 10th ranked JAS FBG (2-8) in Sosnowiec 81-76. JAS FBG was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 30-15 third quarter run of Sleza Wroclaw. It was a great evening for Dutch Kourtney Treffers (187-94, agency: Court Side) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Marissa Kastanek (175-90, college: N.Carolina St.) helped adding 19 points. Five Sleza Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Sleza Wroclaw's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) responded with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) scored 23 points and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sleza Wroclaw. Defending champion maintains third place with 8-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Wisla Krakow. JAS FBG lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with MKK Siedlce. Sleza Wroclaw will play against league's second-placed Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JAS FBG will play on the road against MKK Siedlce (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
