No shocking result in a game in Belo Horizonte where third ranked Minas (5-1) defeated 12th ranked Joinville (1-3) 69-52. Minas players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Forward Wesley Ferreira (201-95) notched 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Guilherme Teichmann (206-83, college: Tulsa) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Even 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by guard Felipe Vezaro (193-92, college: Texas A&M Int.) did not help to save the game for Joinville. American guard Deonta Stocks (185-88, college: W.Georgia) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Minas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Joinville lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with three games lost.
