Regular Season Round 12: Breidablik - FSU 96-75

Very predictable result in Kopavogur where third ranked Breidablik (8-3) smashed 8th ranked FSU (1-10) 96-75. They outrebounded FSU 43-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 6 assists (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) and guard Arni Hrafnsson (185-98) supported him with 16 points. Four Breidablik players scored in double figures. Even 29 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Jett Speelman (201-94, college: Denison) did not help to save the game for FSU. Florijan Jovanov (197-91) added 19 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Breidablik moved-up to second place, which they share with Snaefell. FSU lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Breidablik will play against Fjolnir (#6) in Reykjavik in the next round. FSU will play against Vestri to get more than just one victory in their record.
