Regular Season Round 12: Aubenas - La Charite 88-95

Very predictable result when sixth ranked La Charite (7-5) beat on the road 13th ranked Aubenas (4-8) 95-88 on Tuesday. La Charite shot 61.4 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 25 points and 9 assists. The other American import forward Jerrell Wright (203, college: La Salle) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. Four La Charite players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Justin Moss (201-93, college: Buffalo) who recorded 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) and swingman Jonathan Leria (198-90) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Aubenas' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted La Charite maintains sixth position with 7-5 record, which they share with Challans and RAC Basket. Loser Aubenas dropped to the fourteenth place with eight games lost. La Charite will face Rueil (#7) at home in the next round. Aubenas will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#11) in Boulogne-sur-Mer and hope to win that game.
