Regular Season Round 12: Xinjiang FT - Shandong GS 114-111

The most exciting game of round 12 in the CBA took place in Urumqi. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Golden Stars (9-3) to tenth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (7-5) 114-111 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Golden Stars. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 31-of-33 free shots (93.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Golden Stars helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. The former international center Changdong Yu (206-91) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) replied with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) added 21 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Golden Stars. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige and five Golden Stars players scored in double figures. Golden Stars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Golden Stars at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Xinjiang Flying Tige is looking forward to face Eagles (#17) in Qingdao in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Golden Stars will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#20) and are hoping to win this game.
