The biggest surprise of round 16 was guest Mitre Tuc.'s (5-7) road victory over Independiente (#6) 87-83 on Tuesday evening. Guard Jose Muruaga (188-84) fired 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). American power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Bakari Copeland (198-95, college: Md-E Shore) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Mitre Tuc. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Talleres TV and Temperley. Independiente at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Mitre Tuc. is looking forward to face Talleres TV (#5) in Tafi Viejo in the next round. Independiente will have a break next round.
