Very expected game in Beer Sheva where 12th ranked Maccabi K/M (2-6) was defeated by eighth ranked Hapoel B/S (4-4) 103-97. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Hapoel B/S players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Maccabi K/M helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by guard Andell Cumberbatch (196-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Anthony Fisher (191-86) supported him with 16 points and 8 assists. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals by swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) did not help to save the game for Maccabi K/M. Power forward Justin Jackson (204-90, college: Cincinnati) added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maccabi H/H. Newly promoted Maccabi K/M dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Hapoel B/S's next round opponent will be Hapoel Migd.H. (#10) in Tarshicha. Maccabi K/M will play at home against Elitzur Yavne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
