Pepsi LBL top team - Homenetmen (7-1) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Al Moutahed (4-4) in Tripoli 81-74. Homenetmen made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Tunisian Makram Ben-Romdhane (204-89) supported him with 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) did not help to save the game for Al Moutahed. His fellow American import guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Al Moutahed players scored in double figures. Homenetmen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Al Riyadi. Al Moutahed lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with four games lost. Homenetmen's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Al Riyadi.
