An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Borganes. Second ranked Keflavik faced 4th ranked Skallagrimur. Guests from Keflavik (8-4) defeated host Skallagrimur (6-6) 87-73. Keflavik players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a good game for American guard Brittanny Dinkins (170-94, college: S.Mississippi) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. International forward Thelma Agustsdottir (179-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. Keflavik's coach Sverrir Sverrisson used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Carmen Tyson-Thomas (180-91, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Johanna Sveinsdottir (179-89) added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Skallagrimur. Keflavik have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-4 record behind leader Valur. Skallagrimur lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Breidablik. Keflavik will play against Haukar (#3) in Hafnarfjordur in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Skallagrimur will play at home against Stjarnan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
