Regular Season Round 4: Al Khor - Al Shamal 70-64

Al Khor has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Al Shamal (0-4) 70-64. It was a very good performance for American center Khobi Williamson (201-92, college: Hampden-Sydney) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 22 rebounds. The other American import point guard Jawan Davis (184-89, college: Claflin) contributed with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. DR Congolese-American swingman Moses Ehambe (198-86, college: ORU) replied with 26 points and 8 rebounds and French center Alioune Tew (206-92, college: Niagara) added 6 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Al Shamal. Al Khor (1-3) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Al Rayyan. It was Al Shamal's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Al Khor's next round opponent will be Al Rayyan (#8) in Doha. Al Shamal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Sadd.
