Regular Season Round 12: Forli Tigers - Piacenza 81-71

Second defeat of league's leader Piacenza (10-2) against seventh ranked Forli Tigers (7-5) 81-71 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Piacenza. It was a good game for point guard Matteo Battisti (182-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 6 assists. Guard Francesco Papa (198-95) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Forli Tigers players scored in double figures. Forli Tigers' coach Giampaolo Di Lorenzo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Riccardo Perego (202-81) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Rodolfo Rombaldoni (193-77, agency: Players Group) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Piacenza. Forli Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vicenza and Faenza. Piacenza at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by San Severo. Piacenza will play next round against Padova trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Forli Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Crema on the road.
