Regular Season Round 9: Kalev/Cramo - Noorteliiga 126-51

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#1) and Noorteliiga (#7). Kalev/Cramo (8-0) crushed visiting Noorteliiga (0-4) by 75 points 126-51. The game without a history. Kalev/Cramo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Noorteliiga's 32. Kalev/Cramo forced 32 Noorteliiga turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Noorteliiga's players. It was a good game for American point guard Isaiah Briscoe (191-96, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. The former international Janari Joesaar (198-93, college: UTRGV, agency: 3Eye) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Guard Leemet Loik (198-1) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Ron-Arnar Pehka (185-98) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Noorteliiga. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kalev/Cramo have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Noorteliiga at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Kalev/Cramo are looking forward to face league's second-placed Valga on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Noorteliiga's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TLU/Kalev.
