Regular Season Round 2: Argentino - GECR Indalo 86-66
Date: December 6, 2017
GECR Indalo (1-1) recorded a loss in Junin. Visitors were rolled over by Argentino (2-1) 86-66. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. GECR Indalo was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) did not help to save the game for GECR Indalo. The former international forward Franco Giorgetti (201-92) added 10 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentino will play against Quilmes MP (#17) in Mar del Plata in the next round which should be another easy win for them. GECR Indalo will play on the road against Ferrocarril (#10) in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
