Regular Season Round 17: Villa Mitre CF - Platense 67-94

TNA top team - CA Platense (9-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Villa Mitre CF (7-7) in Buenos Aires 94-67. CA Platense shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Genaro Lorio (190-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 4 assists. American forward Tyrone Lee (204-90, college: Grand Valley St.) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four CA Platense players scored in double figures. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Leandro Portillo (185-85) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Villa Mitre CF. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CA Platense have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-3 record, which they share with Libertad S. Newly promoted Villa Mitre CF keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. CA Platense will face La Union (#8) in Colon in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
