A very interesting game took place in Rishon Le-Zion. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 10th ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (1-8) to sixth ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (5-4) 82-80 on Thursday evening. American point guard Matee Ajavon (173-86, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) nailed 28 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and her fellow American import power forward Nikki Greene (193-90, college: Penn St.) accounted for 7 points and 14 rebounds. Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (180-90, college: UCLA) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and American point guard Sydney Colson (172-89, college: Texas A&M, agency: LBM Management) added 25 points and 6 assists respectively for Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion in the defeat. Four Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion players scored in double figures. Bnot Hertzeliya moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion lost fifth consecutive game.
