Regular Season Round 6: Bashkimi - Rilski 69-105

Balkan League top team - Bulgarian Rilski (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Kosovan Bashkimi (2-3) in Prizren 105-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bashkimi. Rilski shot 64.8 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Bashkimi's players. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was point guard Derek Wright (179-86, college: Austin Peay St.) who scored 14 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Rilski's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jamir Hanner (203-91, college: Keiser) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and guard Daishon Knight (185-91, college: Illinois St.) added 17 points respectively. Five Rilski and four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Rilski have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Bashkimi at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
