Regular Season Round 9: Ramat Hasharon - Maccabi R.Hen 67-65

The most exciting game of round 9 in the D1 took place in Hasharon. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Maccabi Ramat Gan (5-4) to seventh ranked Ramat Hasharon (5-4) 67-65 in the game for the fourth place. Strangely Maccabi Ramat Gan outrebounded Ramat Hasharon 50-32 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Swingman Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Bashaara Graves (188-94, college: Tennessee) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds and forward Nia Coffey (185-95, college: Northwestern, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 19 rebounds respectively. Ramat Hasharon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Maccabi Ramat Gan. Ramat Hasharon is looking forward to face B.Yehuda (#9) in Tel Aviv in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Maccabi Ramat Gan will play on the road against the league's leader Elitzur Holon (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
