A very close game took place in Saporro between Diamond Dolphins and Hokkaido L.. Fifth ranked Diamond Dolphins (8-13) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (11-10). Diamond Dolphins managed to escape with a 3-point win 92-89 in the fight for the fifth place. Diamond Dolphins made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Kawabe Ryohei (188-95) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Diamond Dolphins maintains fifth position with 8-13 record which they share with defeated Hokkaido L. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Diamond Dolphins will meet at home Shimane Magic (#6) in the next round. Hokkaido L. will play against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
